The significant $50 million renovation of the outdated Peter W. Stott athletics facility has transformed the South Park Blocks, creating a one-of-a-kind game-day experiences for Portland State students, faculty, staff, alumni, and fans. Nestled in the heart of downtown Portland, the 3,000-seat Viking Pavilion is the hub of Portland State Athletics and the bustling urban campus of 29,000 students. The building is a lively center for academics, athletics, the arts and community events. Viking Pavilion has a brand new entrance and glass windows that open onto the South Park Blocks, as well as an energy-efficient design and construction that demonstrate PSU's commitment to sustainability. The renovated building includes 15,000 square feet for studying, tutoring and advising.

Coming off of a thrilling end to the 2021-22 season, Vikings Men's Basketball returns to the Park Blocks with Jase Coburn at the helm for his second season as head coach. The energy that Coburn brought to the program in the last year has rubbed off on his team, setting the stage for the future.

WHERE IS THE STUDENT SECTION?
Students will be seated in THE SHIP, sections B08 & B06. All students will enter through the student entrance located near Versa Cafe which has direct access to the student section. 

ARE NON-SPORTING EVENTS HELD IN VIKING PAVILION?
The Viking Pavilion transforms to meet many needs. From intimate gatherings to large-scale events, the venue is perfect for conferences, banquets, receptions, lectures, sporting events, commencements, concerts, trade shows and more. HOW MUCH DID THE PROJECT COST AND HOW WAS IT FUNDED?
The $50 million renovation was funded through state bonds, private donors, OHSU, and student fees. Funding does not come from general operating funds or tuition dollars.

WHAT IS THE ECONOMIC IMPACT OF VIKING PAVILION ON THE GREATER PORTLAND COMMUNITY?
The new 3,000-seat arena fills Portland's need for a mid-size public venue and will attract an estimated 220,000 people to the PSU campus each year. Visitor spending of $6.8 million will add to PSU's $1.44 billion in annual regional economic impact. The project also created 396 construction jobs and supports the equivalent of 24 permanent full-time jobs.
