Overview

The historic Bronco Gym is the home of Boise State volleyball. Located on the east side of campus, next to ExtraMile Arena and across the parking lot from Albertsons Stadium, the building opened in 1955, and played host to Boise State's men's and women's basketball programs, gymnastics and volleyball.

A high-definition video board was installed at Bronco Gym in 2018, along with an upgraded sound system.
Recent renovations also include a new floor and new bleacher seating in the lower tier.
Boise State volleyball clinched the 2016 Mountain West championship on its home floor at Bronco Gym.
With the exception of eight years during the 1990s when volleyball played in ExtraMile Arena, Bronco Gym has been the primary home of the volleyball team since its start in the fall of 1970.
Bronco Gym opened in the fall of 1955 and originally seated 3,500 fans. The facility has seen several renovations over the years, including the downsizing in seating during the mid-1980s to approximately 1,400, giving the gym a loud and energized home court feel.
The first collegiate athletic event held in Bronco Gym was on Jan. 13, 1956, a men’s basketball game between Boise Junior College and the College of Southern Utah with the Broncos defeating the Thunderbirds 68-44 in front of 2,600 fans.
